What's Afoot With Grace:

Sounds Sweet!!!

May 5, 2024

On the blog this week, I’m considering how alarm clocks and stroke risk impact my life (they are related, apparently), and I’m asking readers to chime in about their soundscapes. Share your comment here.

That happy sigh you hear is me, being delighted that Lord Julian’s fifth mystery, A Gentleman in Search of a Wife, already has a print version (from Amazon). I will wrangle some other print options over the next few weeks.

And in this lovely month of May, do take a peek at my Deals page. The Sweetest Kisses trilogy is a web store exclusive, and I’ve put the whole bundle on sale for $2.99. If you’ve given my Damson Valley contemporaries a pass before, this is the lowest price I’ve put on them ever. Order your copy here.

His Grouchy Grace!!!

April 28, 2024

Drum roll, please! I’m very pleased to announce that The Dreadful Duke is now available from the major retail ebook sites (and in print from Amazon, more print links coming soon). Finn and Wilhelmina’s story is the series opener for The Bad Heir Day Tales, and was great fun to write. I do love me a grouchy duke, especially when he has a heart of gold and has finally met the love of his life! Ordering links here.

On the blog this week, we’re discussing non-negotiables and slow mornings (which have become non-negotiable for me). Contribute your perspective here.

In the going, going, gone department… A Gentleman Fallen on Hard Times, the first Lord Julian Mystery, has been priced on all the retail sites at $2.49 for the month of April. The price will bounce back up to $4.99 on May 1 (Wednesday), so get him while he’s discounted. Ordering links here.

You can hear Lord Julian now!!!

April 23, 2024

For all the readers who asked when Lord Julian’s first audio title would come out, your patience has been rewarded! A Gentleman Fallen on Hard Times can now be purchased as an audio book through the web store. (And if ebook is your thing, this title is discounted to $2.49 at all the major retailers for the month of April. Ordering links here.)

On the blog this week, we are thinking about grit and the confidence to take on new endeavors. They don’t come from where I first thought they did. Add your comment here.

Drum roll please! In anticipation of The Dreadful Duke’s retail release later this week, the lovely folks at Fresh Fiction have posted a review. Finn is blushing, Mina is quite pleased, and old Charles is thumping his tail most vigorously!

Wonderfully Dreadful!!!

April 14, 2024

I am delighted to report that The Dreadful Duke, book one of the Bad Heir Day Tales, is now available from the web store in all ebook formats, and from Amazon in print. The retail ebook links go live on April 26, and pre-order links for Book Two, The Mysterious Marquess, are available here. (The Marquess has his final cover already too.) Wheee!

On the blog this week, we’re contemplating the difference between information and wisdom, and why that had such an impact on me as an expectant mom. Add your insights to the discussion here.

If you’ve been thinking of giving The Lord Julian Mysteries a try, book one in that series, A Gentleman Fallen on Hard Times, is ebook priced at $2.49 for the month of April in the web store and on all the major retail sites. The audio version of this title should be available on the web store later this month.

Because the weather has warmed up (90F on Monday), the windows of my house are now open pretty much 24-7, and Monday night I’d fallen asleep to the sound of the neighbor’s cows, shuffling around in tall spring … Continue reading
